Over the span of four days, more than 500 members of the public took rides in this classic aircraft. Chapter 526 particularly wants to thank the Dwelle family for making its hangar available to house the Ford during the tour visit in Auburn.
Ford Tri-Motor Tour
In late April 2019 the Chapter hosted a visit by EAA’s touring Ford Tri-Motor. The 1928 model 5-AT-B aircraft belongs to Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton, Ohio. At one time this airplane was known as the “smooth-skin” Ford, but it has since been restored to its original corrugated sides.
On March 25 EAA Chapter 526, the California Highway Patrol, Mach 5 Aviation, and Flyers Energy assisted Auburn Aviation Association and Susanne Flom in an airport tour for youngsters. The tour was organized by Randy Leys. Click here for a photo gallery.
